The Northern Nevada Dentist Health & Wellness Committee (formerly the Concerned Dentist Committee) is a group of individuals that was established as an advocacy program to help distressed dentists, hygienist, and their families to identify and deal with the diseases of alcoholism, substance abuse , and emotional disorders.

Many times distressed dental care providers cannot or will-not reach out for help; and their colleagues, and team members don't know how or where to get help?

We can assist the dental care provider that is struggling with addiction by helping them obtain treatment, and follow up for their dependency.

The objectives of this organization are:

• Identify and confirm the well-being of dentists, hygienists, and other dental support staff.. While protecting the anonymity at all times.
• Motivate them to seek treatment voluntarily.
• Assume an advocacy role on their behalf, helping tem retain their practices and self-esteem.
• Provided a means of protecting their families, themselves, and their dental offices from the destructive behaviors related to alcohol and/or substance abuse.
