Membership Benefits of the Northern Nevada Dental Society Include:
Continuing Education
NNDS offers continuing education courses each year, including monthly general membership meetings, at least two full-day clinical/technological courses. and annually an OSHA and Infection Control Update course to extend dental knowledge and advance dental science.
Referrals
Referrals to NNDS dentists are available to the community who call or visit our office.
Peer Review
The NNDS Peer Review Committee acts for our members. We live in a litigious society and Peer Review resolves patient/doctor disputes through mediation, saving participants time and money.
Community Outreach
Since 1986, NNDS volunteer dentists participate in a low-cost dental outreach program known as the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program, which provides oral health care for economically disadvantaged children in northern and northeastern Nevada. This program is also a part of the ADA’s Give Kids a Smile national event.

The NNDS website now offers up-to-date news feeds giving NNDS members valuable professional information, important dental news, a calendar of upcoming events, member and editorial news, state and local news, and practice management tips. We also offer a low-cost classified section to place ads for your practice. |
Professional Contacts
NNDS is proud of its membership percentage. You can make lifelong friends and contacts with your colleagues through membership. By attending the many general membership meetings and special events hosted by NNDS throughout the year, members share concerns, ideas, and interests with local, state and professional leaders.
Membership Services
NNDS members benefit with services such as: opportunities for professional leadership, a membership directory, complimentary new member dinners, and mentoring programs for pre-dental, dental hygiene and dental assisting students. NNDS Delegate representation gives members a voice in the profession, at the local, state, legislative and national levels.
Legislative Lobbying The NDA stays abreast of national and state legislative activity and takes a proactive approach. You have the opportunity along with the Board members to meet with local and state politicians to discuss issues affecting dentistry.
